Driver san francisco pc torrent. Original Title: USB Mouse not detected
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My problem is the following: I have a Genius Traveler 315 Laser mouse which I brought last summer and it worked perfect on my laptop. Recently I have bought a new laptop, on which the mouse does not work anymore.
The problem is very awqward, because the behavior of the mouse on the new laptop is completely random: on several occasions it actually worked perfectly when plugged-in, but most of the times (e.g. after restarting the OS or unplugging the mouse and plugging it back) it didn't. This behavior is even stranger because on my old laptop and several others the mouse still works perfectly.
My first opinion was that the problem is with the USB or mouse drivers, but when I tryied another mouse and an external HDD on the new laptop, they both worked fine. I even copied the usb-related drivers from my old laptop to the new one, hoping i could solve the problem that way, but the outcome was the same (on both laptops the OS is Win 7).
Another possibility was that one of the wires in the mouse's cord was broken, but I crossed that out, too, because i tried twisting the cord as much as I could while it was working on the new laptop and it still worked fine.
The USB sockets on the new laptop are all working (I tried them all).
I know that the easy solution is to buy another mouse, but I rather figure out what is wrong with this one (or with my new laptop) than to spend money to replace a mouse that I know it is functional because I feel that that money would be wasted, I have no guarantee that the new mouse will work (if I'd buy a new one I'd still go for a Genius) and, besides, I would be really glad if I could solve this awkward problem.
If you have any idea where is or where could be the problem, or how could I determine that for sure or from where I could get more help, I would appreciate any feedback.
More details that could be helpful:
- on all the laptops I tried the mouse the operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate (and the OS from both my old and my new laptops was installed from the same CD)
- the old laptop (on which the mouse works) is a Acer Aspire 5630
- the new laptop is a Dell Inspiron N5010

Ok, sorry, that's the mail I sent to the genius support team. But it provides a good background.
I tried every 'conventional' way of fixing it (i'm not really sure, but I think I also reinstalled windows AFTER I saw the problem)
Any ideas? Thanks!

EDIT: by 'not detected' I mean REALLY not detected, not even as an unrecognized device.
